Description:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains Quality vision & direction as an active member of the plant staff.
  • Generates Quality metrics & leads improvement thru Corrective & Preventive Action and audit process versus annual performance objectives.  Makes these metrics visible at plant staff, quality meetings and posted for work-force. Reports per guidelines.
  • Leads customer, plant and corporate communications for qualifications, complaints, audits and fill site visits.  Communicates key quality information to appropriate internal personnel.
  • Develops an annual Quality Improvement Plan, executes and tracks progress with manufacturing.  Links to management review process.
  • Implements, maintains and audits plant quality systems, procedures & current Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Ensures efficient operations to support site commitments to customers regarding product delivery and project deliverables.
  • Support Document Control activities 
  • Manages daily Quality activities including supervision & development of QA personnel, control of non-conforming, Quality inspection & traceability records, Measurement Systems Analysis, QA training records and lot inspection & approval.
  • Manages customer specifications, ensures updates are made based upon process capability data.  Implements and ensures plant adheres to customer specifications. Takes corrective actions for incapable specification internally and with customer. Also manages the deviation process until specifications on issues are resolved.
  • Serves as Plant ISO Management representative.
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
  • Determine system improvements; implement process changes where needed.
  • Leads supplier corrective action & continuous improvement activities in collaboration with Purchasing and Corporate Quality for key suppliers.
  • Maintains effective communications on operational issues, systems status, performance measures and risks to Purilum and its customers.
  • Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety. Evaluating practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
