Mental Health Therapist
Location: East Coast Counseling, Inc -Greenville, NC | Job Type: Part-time, Contract

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, and supportive counseling for individuals facing mental health challenges, communication difficulties, or family conflict. This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and collaborative team, serving a diverse client population. You will also engage with community programs to ensure coordinated care and support.

Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Therapists are expected to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including case notes and treatment reports. You will play an active role in crisis intervention, psychoeducational programs, and preventive care, with a focus on enhancing psychological functioning and interpersonal relationships.

A key part of this role is building trust and rapport with clients through empathetic listening, clear communication, and professional conduct. You`ll work to help clients develop effective coping strategies and move toward solutions in a supportive and ethical therapeutic environment.

Required qualifications include a master`s degree in social work or counseling, along with a current North Carolina license (LCMHC or LCSW). Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex emotional and behavioral issues are essential. Familiarity with risk assessment, treatment planning, and ethical standards of care is also expected.
