Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol

As an unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Fri 05:00 PM - 09:30 PM

Sat 09:45 AM - 09:30 PM

Sun 09:45 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, facility issues, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations through accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
