Part-Time Non CDL Driver PositionsDrivers needed to run local routes - Greenville, NCIn search of a driver interested to run local routes. A truck driver's responsibility includes transporting printed materials, supplies, rolls of paper, etc. from Adams MultiMedia and to other destinations in our region of operation.The successful candidate must be flexible, a self-starter, attentive to details, diplomatic, able to provide direction, and able to multitask.Perform job duties and conduct self in accordance with company core valuesMust always operate any vehicle in a safe mannerResponsible for loading and unloading of the vehiclePick up and deliver goods as requiredCheck fuel and oil levels in trucks before loadingInspect trucks to ensure working conditions of brakes, lights, wipers, windshield, fire extinguisher, flares, and other safety equipment in the truck by filling out a Vehicle Inspection ReportAdjust mirrors on both sides of the truck to ensure clear visibility from the driver's seatReporting maintenance concerns of truck to your supervisorEnsure that cargo is well securedMaintain record of goods and freight loaded and unloaded by filling out delivery slipsReport any equipment in the truck inoperable or missingReport any improper loading of cargoInspect freight and vehicle for compliance with DOT RegulationsAt the end of days delivery, handover records of deliveries, receipts, payments and any mechanical problemsBe able to use a GPS to locate multiple destinations in our region of operationsSometimes truck drivers are to collect payments from customers while delivering their jobsRequired to take trucks or vans in for service or repairs as scheduledIf a driver must wait for a job to be completed, they are expected to report to an on-duty supervisor to determine if they can help out in any department.Minimum RequirementsCompetent driving skillsAble to produce clean driving recordConsistently pass drug screening and driver's medical examinationShould be able to read and speak EnglishKnowledge of vehicle and all its partsBasic mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairsSkill to maneuver large vehicles on highways and traffic routesKnowledge and understanding of GPSKnowledge of state transport regulationsCommercial driver should be 21 years of ageValid driver's license for operating vehicles less than 25,999 lbs. gross vehicle weight ratingHigh school education or GED.For immediate consideration, please send resume to Tim Moore at tmoore@apgenc.com.
