The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the Manager, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.Location: Greenville, NCShift: 7:30AM - 4:00PM (Monday - Friday)Hourly pay range: $22.00 - $25.00Benefits Health and Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision and Wellness programs (eligible for medical coverage on day 1)Time Off: Paid Time Off (PTO), and Company paid holidaysFinancial Well Being: Spending Accounts: Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), commuter benefits, 401(k), tuition assistance, employee stock purchase plan discountAdded Protection Coverage: To include critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident, legal, identity theft protection, pet, auto and home insuranceRecognition: Celebrate your peers and earn points to redeem on gifts and productsWhat we're looking for: High School diploma or GED is requiredMinimum 2 years of inventory management, material handling, and/or customer service experience is requiredMicrosoft Office experience required with proficiency in Word and ExcelUnderstanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, and/or purchasing requiredExcellent customer service skills including a professional, can-do demeanor requiredEffective communication in writing and verbally with both the customer and internal contacts requiredAble to lift 50 lbsProactive thinking with the ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage and motivate, in order to meet goalsHigh regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and proceduresCross referencing and inside sales experience strongly desired but not requiredConform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances requiredIn this role you will: Be responsible for tasks in inventory management (consumables, chemicals, samples, etc.) and accurate inventory control, processing requests leading to inventory movement on and off site and fulfilling customer metric reportingPerform inventory management related functions such as monitoring slow moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, yearly physical inventories, and reportingProvide daily customer service functions and communicate with the customer and other Avantor functions relative to inventory managementPerform purchasing functions including but not limited to back-order reporting and expediting, document control, and records maintenanceCoordinate all customer service-related functions including order entry, reporting, maintaining metrics, and cost savings trackingRun consigned, non-consigned, customer owned and/or 3rd party inventoryUse Avantor and customer computer systems (SAP, Citrix, Intranet, Avantor Inventory Management Systems, CisPro, and customer specific systems) in fulfillment of job dutiesMeet goals and objectives regarding safety, performance, and qualityCraft programs for enhanced service efficienciesWork with Avantor Sales Force and manufacturing representativesDocument organizational changeDeliver inbound packages to customer contactsUpdate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Other duties as assignedDisclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
