ASC Tarboro3301 N Main StTarboro, NC 27886, USADescription Material Handler – ASC Tarboro, NC Job Summary Statement Air Distribution Technologies is seeking a Material Handler to join our ASC facility in Tarboro, North Carolina. This role is responsible for supporting production operations by ensuring materials, parts, and components are accurately received, handled, and delivered to the appropriate areas within the plant. The Material Handler plays a critical role in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and overall operational efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.What You'll Do Move materials, parts, and finished goods throughout the facility to support production and shipping operationsOperate material handling equipment including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and lift assist devices (certification required)Read and utilize pick lists, work orders, and inventory documentation to ensure accurate material handlingLoad, unload, and organize materials in designated storage or production areasUse hand tools and strapping equipment to prepare materials for transport or shipmentComplete required documentation and enter data into systems to track inventory and order processingPerform routine checks to ensure materials meet quality standards and report discrepanciesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and safety policiesSupport multiple departments and shifts as needed to meet production demandsDemonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn multiple product lines and processesWhat We're Looking For High school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling environment preferredAbility to read and follow work instructions, pick lists, and basic documentationAbility to operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipmentBasic computer skills for data entry and order trackingAbility to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks throughout the shiftStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred Forklift certification or prior experience operating powered industrial equipmentExperience with inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS)Experience in HVAC, manufacturing, or industrial production environmentsAbility to work flexible schedules, including overtime or different shiftsThis position operates in a manufacturing environment at our Tarboro facility. Employees are regularly exposed to moving equipment, noise, and industrial conditions. The role involves standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials, along with bending, stooping, and reaching. The environment may be non-climate controlled and include exposure to dust, grease, and other typical manufacturing elements.Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
