Job Description

ECU Department of Joyner Library Services: Circulation Department is seeking several Undergraduate Circulation Assistants for Fall 2026/Spring 2027! The Circulation Department is one of the busiest units within the library, and the first point-of-contact for many patrons. Students working in this department are expected to represent the library by providing exemplary customer service both at the front desk and in the stacks.

On a daily basis, the Circulation Student Assistants will:

  • Check in and out materials, answer questions, and assist patrons at the front desk
  • Assist in opening and closing duties for the department as needed
  • Assist with equipment inventory and cleaning projects
  • Any other special tasks necessary to assist in the day-to-day functions of the department

Over the Fall/Spring, the Circulation Department will be open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM-9:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM-5:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM-9:00 PM. We are looking for a student to work the morning and/or afternoon shifts.

GPA Requirement - Minimum of 2.0

License/certification required
