Federal Work Study - Gray Gallery Assistants

ECU School of Art and Design is currently seeking several Gray Gallery Assistants. We are a small team, interested in creating a hands-on experience for students. Specific responsibilities will include: exhibition preparation and documentation, archiving Gray Gallery exhibition materials and the permanent collection, office organization, database entry for inventory, basic art-handling (i.e. art storage, protection and organization), monitoring the gallery and helping direct guests as they view exhibitions.

This is a flexible position. Students will work two to three days a week during gallery hours of operation. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Occasional after 5 pm and weekend hours are possible. Schedules are to be determined by student employees and the gallery staff.

GPA Requirement - Minimum of 2.0

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) - Able to lift up to 40 pounds.

License/certification required
