Palletizer Kinston, NCCompensation IncludesStarting Pay Rate of $17.05/hour - paid weeklyAvailable Shifts2nd: 4:00pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday3rd: 12:00am - 8:00am, Monday - FridayOverviewThe person who occupies this position is responsible for unloading cases from conveyors and stacking them onto pallets according to carton specifications.ResponsibilitiesRetrieves packed cases from conveyors and stacks them onto pallets according to customer specificationsPalletizer wraps top of loaded pallet to prevent higher boxes from falling when load is movedPulls loaded skid with handtruck to area where skid is retrieved by forklift (approximately 70 ft)Constructs cardboard tops to cover boxes that do not have folding flapsQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED requiredMust be able to speak, read and write EnglishMust be flexible: able to work other shifts, overtime and Saturdays when neededPhysical requirements and visual activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job:Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, twisting (re-piling loads), kneeling, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, visual acuity (near and far)Requires lifting packed cases (weighing up to 50 lbs.) from the rollers (3 feet high), carrying them approximately 5 feet to pallet and stacking them onto correct pallet. Cases are stacked as high as 7 feetJob requires lifting empty pallets (approximately 50 lbs.) from stack of pallets and sliding them to end of conveyor approximately once very hourRequires physical ability to pull full pallet (1500 - 2000 lbs.) with handtruck.
