OverviewBecome part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well‑being of the unique communities we serve.SummaryThe UNC Lenoir Health Clinical Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for planning, ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing all supplies used in Perioperative Services, as well as other areas as assigned by the Supply Chain Director. This role ensures adequate inventory is maintained cost‑effectively and efficiently, oversees a staff member, and reviews OR patient supply charges.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Business Administration preferred; associate's degree is acceptable.Minimum three years' supply chain experience in a surgical or procedural setting.Substantial knowledge of hospital peri‑operative inventory control.Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting ability, and relationship‑building with vendors and interdisciplinary teams.Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, inventory and financial systems, and product standardization.Adherence to organization's code of conduct and dress code standards.Positive working relationship with all departments within the UNC system.Independent, organized work style and strong written and verbal communication skills.Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, and stock without limitations.Valid North Carolina Driver's License; Surgical Tech or Central Sterile Services Tech certification acceptable.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and stock without any physical limitations.ResponsibilitiesOrdering, receiving, storing, and distributing all supplies used in Perioperative Services, and other areas as assigned.Reviewing OR patient supply charges.Pulling supplies for OR cases.Maintaining adequate inventory cost‑effectively using UNC System, GPO, and local contracts.Assisting in establishing and maintaining uniformity and accuracy of Par Station locations and perpetual inventories.Managing consignment inventories for Perioperative Services.Co‑ordinating inventory return, recall, and corrective actions in a timely manner.Operating and coordinating the OR‑MMIS supply system(s).Participating in OR value analysis, product conversions, and new product introductions.Coordinating and implementing vendor admittance and ensuring consistent application of Vendor and Product Value Analysis policies.Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing data; recommending department performance improvements and communicating problems.Supporting, preparing for, and participating in annual inventory activities.Performing other duties necessary to the department's success.Job DetailsLegal Employer: Lenoir HealthEntity: UNC Lenoir Health CareOrganization Unit: Central DispatchWork Type: Full TimeStandard Hours Per Week: 40Work Assignment Type: OnsiteWork Schedule: Day JobLocation: LENOIR MEMExempt From Overtime: NoEEO StatementQualified applicants will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, status as a protected veteran, or political affiliation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
