A well-established utility services organization in the Greenville area is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator/Materials Technician for a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 6 months to 1 year. This position is ideal for someone with warehouse and inventory experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced team environment.

The Materials Technician will support daily warehouse and material handling operations by receiving, storing, issuing, shipping, and delivering utility-related materials and supplies. Candidates should be comfortable operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, performing physically demanding tasks, and providing excellent internal customer service.

Rate of pay: $17.00/hour

Schedule:

• Temporary assignment lasting approximately 6 months to 1 year
• Full-time hours expected

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, organize, and issue materials and supplies
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse/material handling equipment
• Assist with shipping, deliveries, and material pickups
• Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse organization
• Perform heavy manual labor and general warehouse duties
• Support utility material requirements and daily operations
• Communicate effectively with team members and internal departments
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace policies

Job Requirements

• Forklift experience required
• Up to 1 year of direct warehouse or inventory experience required
• Utility warehouse experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid North Carolina driver's license required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team-oriented with good customer service skills
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift materials as needed

Additional Information
