Senior Executive Chef

The Senior Executive Chef is responsible for directly supervising kitchen personnel. This role will supervisor and coordinate all related culinary activities. Job responsibilities include training and leading kitchen personnel, developing relationships with vendors, estimating food consumption, selecting and developing recipes, establishing presentation techniques, planning and pricing menus, ensuring accurate equipment operation/maintenance, ensuring safety and sanitation in the kitchen, cooking selected items no more than 20% of the time, coordinating special catering events, offering culinary instruction, and directly supervising kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, and initiating pay increases.

Qualifications include 8+ years of industry and culinary management experience, a culinary certification, the ability to lead in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer services, previous experience with controlling food and labor cost, demonstration cooking, menu development and pricing, and development of culinary team, proficiency with technology and ability to navigate systems up to and including Microsoft Office, Production Systems, Inventory, and P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience.
