Job Summary

Air Systems Components (ASC), a business of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Materials Analyst II for our Tarboro, NC manufacturing facility, which produces terminal units and grilles supporting HVAC air distribution systems. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and efficient manufacturing operations. The Production Scheduler partners cross-functionally with Master Scheduling, Materials, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to support a high-mix, discrete manufacturing environment and meet customer demand.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on Master Production Schedule (MPS) outputs for terminal units and grille product lines
  • Optimize schedules to balance production capacity, minimize downtime, and improve throughput
  • Drive performance against key metrics including:
    • On-time delivery (OTD)
    • Schedule attainment
    • Inventory accuracy and days on hand (DOH)
  • Collaborate with Master Scheduler and plant leadership to align production plans with capacity, labor, and material constraints
  • Coordinate closely with Materials, Purchasing, and Supplier Scheduling to ensure component availability (e.g., sheet metal, coils, dampers, hardware)
  • Support production floor execution by expediting orders, resolving shortages, and adjusting priorities in real time
  • Maintain and update ERP/MRP system parameters, including lead times, lot sizes, and replenishment signals
  • Coordinate the flow of outside processing activities (e.g., coating, finishing, or specialty fabrication)
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support new product introductions (NPI), ECO changes, and process improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency, reduce lead times, and support lean manufacturing efforts
  • Maintain strong communication with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency
What We're Looking For
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of production scheduling, materials planning, or manufacturing coordination experience (HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, or discrete manufacturing strongly preferred)
  • Experience supporting high-mix, configurable products such as terminal units or engineered-to-order assemblies preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
    • Capacity planning and finite scheduling concepts
    • Inventory control and material flow
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities

This role operates in a manufacturing facility producing HVAC terminal units and grilles, requiring frequent interaction on the production floor. The position may involve standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.). Reasonable accommodations may be made.
