Description:

Clinical Instructor (Medical Physics Resident)Responsibilities:Serve as a Clinical Medical Physics resident within the Department of Radiation Oncology.Participate in a two‑year rotation program covering the full spectrum of therapeutic medical physics clinical procedures, including External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), High Dose‑rate Radiotherapy (HDR), and radiopharmaceuticals.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team of board‑certified Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, and Radiation Oncologists to provide patient care, quality assurance, and clinical support for advanced equipment such as Varian TrueBeam linacs, CyberKnife, and Gamma Knife Icon units.Assist in the development and oversight of the CAMPEP‑accredited medical physics graduate program offered through the Department of Physics.Support quality standardization efforts across multiple ECU Health regional sites.Qualifications:Master's degree in Medical Physics or a closely related discipline from a CAMPEP‑accredited institution.Eligibility for certification by the American Board of Radiology.Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a closely related field preferred.Current authorization to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.Eligible candidates will undergo background checks, including criminal and sex offender screening, in accordance with federal and institutional policies.East Carolina University is committed to workforce success and cultivating a culture of care for its employees.
