We are seeking an Analytical Lab Analyst to support laboratory operations through sample preparation, analytical testing, and precious metal analysis within our commercial operations.This role focuses on conducting laboratory analyses, preparing samples for testing, operating analytical equipment, and supporting safe and efficient laboratory operations in a fast‑paced industrial environment.Job PurposePrepare and analyze samples using approved laboratory methods to support precious metal recovery, quality control, and operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesWeigh and prepare samples for fusion and analytical processesMeasure and dispense precise portions of materials for analysisOperate fusion equipment and ensure proper calibrationConduct fire assay and gravimetric analyses for precious metalsPrepare ICP standards, blanks, and stock solutionsPerform digestion and sample preparation techniquesPrepare and run samples on ICP instrumentation with minimal supervisionRecord and document analytical data and findings accuratelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environmentAssist in troubleshooting analytical issues and maintaining laboratory equipmentCollaborate with team members to improve laboratory procedures and efficiencySupport hazardous waste handling and RCRA compliance activities as requiredPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field requiredOne to three years of industrial, research, or inorganic laboratory experience preferredUnderstanding of laboratory processes, analytical techniques, and safety proceduresAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work flexible schedules and overtime as neededKnowledge of health and safety programs in a manufacturing environment is a plusCompliance and Physical RequirementsMust meet ITAR and NAID requirementsAbility to pass background check, drug screening, and medical clearanceAbility to safely work with hazardous materials and waste streamsAbility to work in a laboratory and industrial environment with required PPEParticipation in required hazardous waste and safety training programsSchedule and BenefitsFull-time onsite position, Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PMMedical, dental, and vision coverage available after 30 days401(k) with company match after six monthsPaid time off, company holidays, and safety shoe allowanceCompany-sponsored events and team lunchesCompany-provided snacks and beveragesEqual Opportunity EmployerSibanye-Stillwater is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.#J-18808-Ljbffr
