This full‑time faculty position is open for one vacancy.Compensation: Salary commensurate with qualifications; may exceed advertised range due to budget, university salary administration, or candidate qualifications.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Division Director of Prosthodontics and the Assistant Dean for Dental Education and Informatics in curriculum development and implementation related to prosthodontics for the general dentist.Coordinate and help deliver curricular content related to prosthodontics in the simulation lab and didactic settings for pre‑doctoral students.Collaborate with the Assistant Dean for Dental Education and Informatics and other informatics personnel to optimize technology use for teaching and assessment programs.Ensure dental students and residents are competent in providing prosthodontic care.Collaborate with the AEGD and GPR programs to deliver curricular content and clinical coverage.Teach pre‑doctoral students in clinical settings for procedures outside prosthodontics, aligned with the SoDM's General Dentistry Model of education.Participate in the school's faculty practice.Respond to emergency calls.Assist the Chair of General Dentistry and the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs in quality assurance, improvement, and compliance efforts.Serve on committees and boards within the school and professional societies.Attend meetings and represent the School at internal and external venues as requested by the Chair or Dean.Build teams in planning and resolve problems.Conduct basic and/or clinical research and other scholarly activities supporting promotion.Support the mission and vision of the School of Dental Medicine, including community‑based and generalist dental education.Apply evidence‑based teaching and practice.Perform additional duties or responsibilities assigned by the Division Director, Chair, or Dean.QualificationsDDS or DMD (or equivalent).Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics; current residents in prosthodontics programs accredited by CODA are eligible if they will complete their program by the intended start of employment.Eligibility for dental licensure in North Carolina.BenefitsEligibility to participate in the UNC Optional Retirement Program (ORP), matching employer contributions, and voluntary supplemental retirement plans (401k, 403b, 457).
