Description:

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented **Electrical Engineer I-IV** based at our **Greenville, NC Warehouse Product Development Center**. Support team oversight and administrative responsibilities as required.Who you are: Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.An ability to manage competing priorities while staying organized and detail‑oriented. B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field New graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experienceB.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field 1-2 years of engineering experience and/or two relevant internshipsB.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field 3+ years of industry experienceB.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field 5+ years of industry experienceSkills, Experience & Abilities Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuits, power electronics, motor controls, and battery systems. Familiarity with embedded systems, real‑time communication networks (e.g., CAN), and control architectures. Ability to create and interpret CAD drawings, schematics, and design layouts. Basic experience with engineering analysis, test methods, and technical documentation. Strong problem‑solving abilities, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams. Growing proficiency in electrical system design, CAD modeling, and engineering analysis.Practical experience supporting testing, prototype builds, or manufacturing processes. Familiarity with basic regulatory concepts (e.g., electrical safety, EMC). Ability to take ownership of small tasks or workstreams with limited supervision. Advanced proficiency in CAD, design layouts, and electrical system integration.Working knowledge of regulations such as functional safety or EMC. Ability to coordinate tasks, support planning, and provide informal technical guidance.Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements and how to apply them in design. Experience leading engineering tasks, coordinating schedules, and mentoring team members. Ability to influence technical direction and support long-term product strategy.
