What to expect:Martin Marietta is seeking an Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating the excavator and performing daily pre and post inspection of equipment and working areas. Additionally, the excavator operator will perform other duties necessary for daily operations throughout the plant, such as greasing, shoveling and safely maintaining work areas by ensuring these areas are equipped with adequate berms and roadways.Fountain QuarryFountain, North CarolinaHours: 6:30AM - 6:30PM, weekends as necessaryA typical day for a(n) Excavator Operator may include:Operating the excavator within the company guidelines and safety standardsCompleting daily pre and post inspection of working areas and ensuring they are equipped with adequate berms and roadwaysPerforming pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisorEnsuring safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushersPerforming daily preventative maintenance - tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper functionMaintaining safe traffic flow throughout the siteOperating other equipment such as loaders and haul trucks in a safe manner as neededAiding in the training of co-workers as neededPerforming other duties as assigned by supervisorYou may be a good fit if you:Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this positionHave experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plantsHave experience in operation and maintenance of an excavator (preferred)#J-18808-Ljbffr
