OPT/ AssessorPathways to Life, Inc. Behavioral Health Services – Greenville, North CarolinaPosition SummaryPathways to Life, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented OPT/ Assessor. This position plays a critical role in ensuring individuals receive appropriate behavioral health services through comprehensive assessments, person-centered recommendations, and coordination with internal teams and referral sources. The ideal candidate is organized, clinically knowledgeable, compassionate, and experienced in completing behavioral health assessments in accordance with NC Medicaid and service definition requirements.Essential ResponsibilitiesComplete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and screeningsConduct clinical interviews and gather psychosocial history informationDetermine medical necessity and recommend appropriate servicesComplete and submit all required documentation within required timelinesMaintain compliance with NC DHHS service definitions and Medicaid requirementsCoordinate with referral sources, care managers, hospitals, and providersCollaborate with internal clinical teams regarding admissions and service recommendationsMaintain accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentationParticipate in supervision, staff meetings, and training activitiesEnsure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all timesAssist with audit preparation and quality assurance activities as neededQualificationsEducationMaster's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferredBachelor's degree with qualifying experience may be considered depending on credentials and service requirementsLicensure/Certification PreferredLCSW / LCSW-ALCMHC / LCMHC-ALCAS / LCAS-ALMFT / LMFT-ARNOther qualified behavioral health professional credentials recognized by NC MedicaidExperienceExperience conducting behavioral health assessments preferredKnowledge of NC Medicaid and Tailored Care behavioral health servicesExperience working with children, adolescents, adults, and familiesStrong documentation and organizational skillsExperience with EHR systems preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong clinical interviewing and assessment skillsKnowledge of behavioral health diagnoses and treatment recommendationsAbility to manage multiple referrals and deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyStrong attention to detail and compliance standardsProfessional demeanor and customer service skillsSchedule & Work EnvironmentFull-TimeMonday–FridayHybrid/Community-based travel may be required depending on service areaSome local travel may be requiredBenefitsPathways to Life, Inc. offers a competitive benefits package that may include:Health InsuranceDental & Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid HolidaysRetirement Plan OptionsVoluntary Supplemental BenefitsProfessional Development Opportunities#J-18808-Ljbffr
