DescriptionBecome part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.Summary:Provides a visual and physical deterrent to crime on the hospital campus while promoting a good customer service relationship with patients, visitors, and staff.Responsibilities:All patients, visitors, and staff are served by providing 24-hour electronic and physical observation of the hospital campus in an effort to provide a secure working environment.Ensures that all hospital safety and security, policies and procedures are conformed with on a day-to-day basis.Other information:QualificationsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTHigh school or EquivalentPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTThree years' experience in security, civilian/military law enforcement or an equivalent military career field.LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATIONValid North Carolina Driver License required.Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification (BLET) preferred, but not required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTSOfficers are expected to possess a minimal proficiency in typing text, answering telephones and interviewing people.
