Position Summary
The MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory of contracted services, maintenance and operational supplies for the Robersonville plant. This position ensures reliable supply of essential materials and services to support uninterrupted plant operations, maintenance schedules, and equipment uptime, while maintaining cost effectiveness, supplier performance, and compliance with Flagstone Foods' procurement policies.
The role partners closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to streamline MRO purchasing, negotiate supplier agreements, and optimize inventory control practices across both locations.
Essential Functions
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
5+ years of experience in MRO procurement, maintenance planning, or supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
Food or CPG manufacturing experience preferred.
Working knowledge of procurement systems (SAP, CMMS, or similar ERP).
Strong understanding of maintenance operations, spare parts management, and vendor sourcing.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Continuous improvement mindset; Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS certification a plus.
