Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Supply Officer 1 to joinour Supply Chain Department based in Kinston, NC.

The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

Your Challenges:

Forecast/Call up / Order and VMI Management (50%)

• Place Purchase Orders according to the Purchase Request on behalf of the commodity.Identifyand evaluate disturbances in the Supply chain and contribute to related process improvements.Ensure contract terms with suppliers are being met.E2E Management of Purchase Orders.

• Actively manage material flows to ensure on-time, quality, and cost-efficient delivery of purchased products,initiatingfirst-level corrective and preventive actions as needed

• Perform material planning and ordering for free stock, flying consumables and safety stock

• Define andmaintainsupply related contractual data, contained in Logistics Conditions (e.g. max-min levels for VMI parts, delivery leadtime,..) in the frame of standard policies and contractual requirements.

• AnalyzeMRP and Supply External Product exception messages

• Manage purchase orders and forecasts sent to the suppliers, includingcollaborationprocess.

• Manage on-time delivery (OTD) collaboration process,initiateproactive actions.

• Collaborate transnationally with suppliers (remotely and/or on-site) andoperateas a supportive partner within the procurement community,assistingthe Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer.

• Manage reordering tasks after rejection, scraps/damages and collaborate in the secondary flow

Customer protection

• Ensure the product qualification pre-requisites are in line beforeto launchthe ordering.

• Lead actions to reduce missing parts and late deliveries: early warning to the customer and hierarchy, risk management, follow updeliveriesand instigate mitigation actions.

• Incoming goods follow-up for shortages.

• Act as a focal point for the logistic service provider and supplier on-site support.

• Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, SupplyChainand InformationSystems.

Continuous Improvement

• Perform supply chain monitoring through process performance measures and KPIs (Ordering measures, Missing parts,OTD ,Stock KPI's, VMI Level of Service).

• Conduct root cause analysis (such as PPS/8D) and monitor supplier problem-solving activities as directed.

• Activelyparticipatein supplier performance reviews/provide performance feedback to suppliers.

Stock optimization

• Monitor inventory levels and stock turns based on defined targets.

• Define theoptimumlogistic solution and ordering solutions (safety stock/safety time, batch size, reorder point, demand volatility).

• Manage Non-movers/Slow movers

New Product Introduction

• Facilitate the introduction of newproductor modifications, coordinating with suppliers in conjunction with the buyer forlogisticsand ordering solutions.

Your Boarding Pass:

• 2-3years' experienceordegree in Industrial Engineering,Industrial Technology,Business Administration or Supply Chain Management

• Able to influence discussion and stakeholders using English.

Complexity of the Role:The Supply Officer Iis responsible forsupplier management, end-to-end material flow optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across various supply chain functions.

Level of Decision Making:The Supply Officer I must be able to take autonomous decisions on stock build-up, logistic solutions, etc. thatwill influence directly in the level of operational and financial exposure thatAirbus Kinstonwill assume.
