Associate Relations Specialist (HR) - Remote

Pay: $28/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Type: Temporary (no defined end date)
Location: Remote (Must reside in TX, NE, OH, FL, KY, or IN)

We are seeking an experienced Associate Relations Specialist to provide HR consultation and employee relations support across both union and non-union environments. This role partners with managers and associates to resolve workplace concerns, interpret policies and contracts, and guide performance and disciplinary processes.

This is a long-term temporary opportunity with potential to apply for internal full-time roles should openings arise on the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR consultation on policy interpretation, performance management, and employee relations matters
  • Support managers in resolving workplace issues through risk assessment and coaching
  • Interpret and administer policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements
  • Investigate employee relations concerns (fact-finding, interviews, documentation, recommendations)
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and research prior resolutions and trends
  • Partner with cross-functional HR teams (Advice & Counsel, Leave/Accommodations, etc.)
  • Educate leaders on consistent application of policies and conflict resolution practices
  • Handle sensitive and complex issues with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Respond to associate inquiries and concerns with timely, customer-focused service
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2+ years of HR or employee relations experience
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR policies/procedures
  • Strong communication, investigation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations
  • Must reside in Texas, Ohio, Florida, or Kentucky
Preferred:
  • HR experience in union and non-union environments
  • Experience conducting investigations and managing employee cases
  • PHR certification
