Your Day at Lowe's

In your role as a Customer Service Representative, you will greet customers, assist them in finding products and services for their home improvement needs, and ensure they have a pleasant shopping experience. Daily tasks will involve listening to customers, responding to inquiries, assisting with merchandise handling, and keeping product displays organized.

Your responsibilities may vary by department, which can include Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
  • Guide customers in locating and handling merchandise.
  • Restock shelves to maintain adequate inventory.
  • Accurately process orders and deliveries.
  • Cross-train in different store areas to improve customer service.
  • Prepare merchandise based on customer requirements, such as mixing paint or cutting lumber.
  • Assist customers throughout their shopping or checkout experience.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience using a computer for data entry and retrieval.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience with retail technology, like smartphones and tablets.
  • Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and math.
  • Ability to handle various physical tasks, including standing for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting 25 lbs. without assistance or more with help as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience in retail and/or customer service.
  • Fluency in a second language is advantageous.
  • Certification in a trade relevant to your department (e.g., plumbing or electrical) is a plus.
