The Child Life Specialist provides comprehensive Child Life services to pediatric hematology and oncology patients and families in the outpatient clinic and affiliated ECU Health settings. This position functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team and supports clinical care, education, and program development. - Conducts developmental, psychosocial, and coping assessments and develops individualized Child Life care plans - Provides preparation, education, and procedural support for medical procedures using developmentally appropriate interventions - Delivers therapeutic play, medical play, and expressive activities to promote coping, development, and emotional well-being - Documents assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic health record and communicates findings to the care team - Provides emotional support, education, advocacy, and referrals for patients and caregivers, including coordination with community resources - Participates in in...Specialist, Oncology, Hematology, Pediatric, Program Director, Education, Healthcare
