Position Summary
The Manager, Ambulatory Capacity Management is a subject matter expert for Epic provider and resource templates by providing ongoing analysis of utilization and template design for ECU Health Physician practices.
The primary focus of the Manager, Ambulatory Capacity Management is to maintain optimal provider templates, consult with the Director, Ambulatory Patient Access Services, clinic and physician leaders, Information Services teams, and oversee the Central Template Office.
The Manager, Ambulatory Capacity Management will analyze demand and capacity data to create actionable recommendations for improvement and consult with internal stakeholders to create and maintain Epic decision trees.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Administration, Health Care Management, Public Health Administration, Health Information Management or related.
Three to five years of direct experience with Epic scheduling workflows, including provider template creation/build.
Two years in a healthcare supervisory role overseeing staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage, teach, make independent decisions and assume responsibility.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of staff.
Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Ability to foster collaboration between multiple parties.
Ability to plan, organize and effectively present ideas and concepts to groups.
Ability to think conceptually and apply concepts in a practical application.
