Part-Time Retail Associate/Cashier/Stocker

Position Type: Part-Time Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $17.50 | Year 3 - $18.00 | Year 4 - $18.00 | Year 5 - $19.00

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate relevant information.
  • Uphold the security and confidentiality of documents and data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Process customer purchases and maintain a clean work area.
  • Stock shelves and organize merchandise displays with care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory errors, and other issues.
  • Participate in taking inventory counts and monitor accuracy.
  • Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness.
  • Follow merchandising planograms for optimal displays.
  • Organize new inventory while breaking down empty boxes.
  • Operate machinery safely, adhering to all safety protocols.

Store Associate Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Curbside Shopping orders and perform both cashier and stocker roles.

Physical Demands:

Regularly requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and moving about the store. Ability to stock merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
  • Interpret and apply company policies effectively.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Knowledge of products and services offered.
  • Operate a cash register efficiently and accurately.
  • Comply with local regulations regarding alcoholic beverage sales.
  • Safely operate equipment, including hand jacks and scrubbers.
  • Morning availability is preferred for Stockers, with shifts starting as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with prior retail experience or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
