Job Duties:
The Center for STEM Education within the College of Education is seeking an individual to serve as Residence Life Assistant Director (RLAD) for Summer Ventures Camp in a temporary, time-limited, exempt professional staff (EPS) position with availability from July 3, 2026 through July 25, 2026. The Summer Ventures RLAD will assist the Residence Life Director (RLD) in supervision, guidance, organization, and activities for approximately 50 academically successful high school juniors and seniors from all across NC, as well as assist with coordination of Residence Life Assistants (RA) tasks/duties. For 2026, students will participate for three weeks of the program and attend various challenging classes, taught by ECU faculty. The RLAD will communicate with students, other Residence Life staff, faculty, parents, and Summer Ventures administration to be certain we are offering our students a high-impact experience in accordance with our mission.
Supervision – Coordination of RA tasks/duties (70%)The Summer Ventures RLAD will assist the RLD in supervision, guidance, organization and activities for approximately 50 students.
Management (20%)The Summer Ventures RLAD will support the RLD by supporting and supervising the residence assistants and students.
Administrative – Student and Staff Assistance (10%)Utilizing technology skills and resources to support the RLD and communicate with students, other Residence Life staff, faculty, parents, and Summer Ventures administration to be certain we are offering our students a high impact enrichment experience in accordance with our mission.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field, education, or related area required.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation:
None
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Experience in instruction and/or program development/organization desired.
