The Case Manager Patient Navigator is part of the Brody School of Medicine HIV Program (BSOMHIVP) to link and retain people living with HIV/ AIDS (PLWHA) in care. The individual will provide a range of client center services to retain PLWHA who are in care at BSOMHIVP by supporting PLWHA who are newly diagnosed and those who have had a lapse in health care. Will also support clients with assessing and navigating the new federal health care insurance exchange system in North Carolina. This is a grant-funded position within the Division of Infectious Diseases at East Carolina University, Department of Medicine. The Medical Case Manager is primarily a self-directed position and will work in collaboration with other members of the ECUHIVP treatment adherence team to link and retain PLWHA in HIV care.
