About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced R&D Tax Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in federal R&D tax credits, experience leading client engagements, and a passion for helping businesses innovate while navigating Sections 41 and 174 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage R&D tax credit engagements, including:
    • Conducting technical interviews with client subject‑matter experts
    • Analyzing accounting and financial information
    • Touring client facilities to identify qualifying activities and expenses
    • Developing accurate and defensible quantitative and qualitative documentation
  • Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationships
  • Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of consultants on complex R&D tax and accounting method matters
  • Stay current on tax law developments related to Sections 41 and 174

Qualifications – Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (advanced degree and CPA preferred)
  • 4–6 years of experience with R&D tax credits; accounting methods experience a plus
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements and lead teams
  • Strong analytical, data management, and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; detail‑focused and client‑service oriented
  • Proficient with accounting/tax software and technology platforms
  • Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, organization, and time management
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Travel as required, including driving to client sites
  • Keyboarding and fine hand manipulation for 5–7 hours per day
