Warehouse Lead

The Warehouse Lead oversees key aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and equipment upkeep. This role ensures accurate movement and storage of materials to and from production, organized by item and lot number, and coordinates the flow of raw material deliveries and finished goods to support production schedules and inventory integrity. This position is 100% on-site at the Greenville site. Catalent's Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development. The Warehouse Lead will provide leadership, guidance and training to Material Handlers and other warehouse personnel within all warehouse functions.

The Role

  • Serve in a supervisory role when warehouse management is not available
  • Ensure adequate maintenance of inventory locations to support production demand
  • Communicate inventory quantities, status and availability to production planning to ensure production remains on schedule
  • Ensure warehouse personnel adhere to all safety requirements, including wearing and using appropriate PPE
  • Ensure warehouse personnel properly prepare the hazardous and non-hazardous materials for destruction as directed by management, per company SOPs
  • Ensure warehouse personnel complete required cycle count activities in a timely fashion
  • Conduct inventory discrepancies investigations and provide management with details related to corrective actions
  • All other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Distribution and Logistics, or related discipline with at least three years of experience in a warehouse environment required or; Associate degree in Business Administration, Distribution and Logistics, or related discipline with at least four years of experience in warehouse environment required or; High school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of experience in a warehouse environment required. Pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing experience preferred. ERP knowledge required, SAP experience preferred. Position requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. unassisted. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, climbing. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients.
