Responsibilities:
---Provide process oversight for multiple production operations.
---Recommend and lead facilities, procedural and process improvements to maintain and improve production quality, safety, cost and efficiency in line with the Continuous Improvement philosophy
---Monitor and analyze daily production for assigned areas. Analyze data generated by the laboratories and identify trends. Recognizes potential production problems, investigates and recommends solutions to correct them.
---Lead role on projects or other teams for expansions or improvements as a technical resource/expert.
---Mentor junior Process and Project engineers and serve as a technology expert.
---Lead quality investigations and form a team with appropriate internal representatives from Engineering, Quality, and Production. Tracks progress of investigation (RCA), and ensures appropriate actions are taken to correct deficiencies.
---Prepare, review, and approve production records including operating procedures, recipes, JSA's, and change requests as required.
---Interact with technicians regularly to ensure effective communication of production and compliance-related changes in procedures. Conducts formalized training for operative personnel as necessary
---Investigate and prepare reports related to production problems, customer complaints/inquiries, material reconciliation, process deviations, efficiency, and schedule variances.
---Assist in developing operating goals in support of divisional, unit, and corporate objectives. Develops plans to reduce COGS by continuously improving efficiencies, processing times, reducing labor and material costs, reducing maintenance costs, and controlling expense budgets.
---Conducts trials as required to ensure continuous improvement of the manufacturing process and to develop or validate new products at the site.
