Welcome! This Associate Actuary role is a great fit for candidates who have recently earned their ASA designation and are looking to continue growing their actuarial career in Medicaid projections by building market expertise.

Important Note: To be considered for this role, candidates must have an ASA or FSA designation, a bachelor's degree, and at least 2 years of actuarial experience.

Position Purpose

• Conduct analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate financial outcomes. Manage health plan specific actuarial needs and produce actuarial reports to aid in developing claims projections.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for an assigned Medicaid health plan's claims projection development.
• Build out projection modeling for at least one Medicaid health plan.
• Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes.
• Research and analyze the impact of legislative changes.
• Analyze and evaluate required premium rates.
• Analyze various data reports, identify trends and gaps, and recommend action.
• Create and update actuarial reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Medicaid rate-setting or forecasting.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of actuarial experience.

License & Certification

Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) (or equivalent international certification).

Work Location & Schedule

Applicants have the flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere within the continental United States. The ideal schedule is Eastern or Central Time, with flexibility.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $86,000.00 – $154,700.00 per year. Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.
