What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote compliance with site regulations.
+ Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain awareness of all activity within the location.
+ Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
+ Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
+ Provide visible security-related presence and customer assistance to staff, visitors, and contractors within the government-operated location.
+ Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, being prepared to respond to situations that may arise during patrols.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Must possess an active armed guard card or license.
+ Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
+ Must be at least 21 years of age.
+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
