Our Air Systems Components facility in Tarboro, NC plays a vital role within ADTI, supporting the production of terminal units and grills that optimize airflow and building safety.

Position Summary

The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient production schedules that align with customer delivery expectations, inventory targets, and plant capacity. This role supports cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely material availability, minimize downtime, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop weekly and daily production schedules based on the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to optimize inventory levels, productivity, and customer service.
  • Monitor and report on schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with the Master Scheduler to maintain capacity planning aligned with production goals.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to ensure timely material availability.
  • Maintain replenishment signals in the ERP system to support smooth material flow and efficient operations.
  • Support daily production needs by expediting materials, setting priorities, and resolving supply issues.
  • Manage scheduling and inventory movement for outside processing locations.
  • Lead efforts to reduce overhead and improve cost efficiency through effective scheduling practices.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a relevant field and 1-3 years of material management experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • In lieu of a degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required.


  • Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), internet applications, and email.
  • Experience with MRP and ERP systems is required.
  • Knowledge of inventory forecasting, production scheduling, and capacity planning preferred.
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is preferred.
