Location: US Remote

Overview

A leading global diagnostics firm that specializes in advancing immunodiagnostic and molecular diagnostic solutions for clinical laboratories is seeking a Vice President of Global Sales. With a focuson gastrointestinal and infectious disease testing, it provides assays and PCR-based tools to support accurate, efficient, and reliable results. The company delivers end-to-end solutions from sample extraction to results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global sales function for instruments, assays, and consumables.
  • Define global selling strategy for direct sales, distribution, service, and support.
  • Lead and manage US and European/International sales teams (e.g., US Director Sales with an 8-person team; European/International team with a Sales Director and 16-person team).
  • Shape sales strategy to support 20% growth target.
  • Collaborate with global leadership to build short- and mid-term sales strategy and channels.
  • Develop and present the Annual Global Sales Plan to meet financial and budget goals.
  • Contribute to global launch strategies and expand product portfolios in US and Europe.
  • Mentor and set performance standards for the sales team; oversee direct sales and distribution networks; implement global pricing.
  • Ensure effective management of global quality and product supply issues.
  • Identify growth opportunities and support long-term portfolio strategy.
  • Implement best practices in sales effectiveness, funnel management, CRM, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in life science or business (MBA strongly preferred).
  • A minimum of 8 years of strategic sales and marketing and business management experience, with at least 10 years in the medical device/diagnostics industry, including direct supervision of professional staff.
  • Experience developing and managing Corporate/National Accounts in the US.
  • Strong knowledge in strategic selling, global distribution management, and planning, tactical selling, and execution.
  • Knowledge of the clinical and laboratory market environment, especially Molecular Diagnostics, PCR Instrumentation, Immunology & Infectious Diseases (preferred).
  • Strong financial, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Creative thinker with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership to motivate and manage change in selling Capital Equipment Systems via Direct and Distribution channels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability.
  • Ability to manage $50-100M+ in sales and 25-50+ staff across commercial groups; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% globally.
