Overview

Manager, Private Equity and Hedge Fund Accounting (REMOTE) SEI. The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing and seeks new members on our Private Equity & Hedge Fund Accounting Teams. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service, accounting andadministration services to our hedge and private equity fund customers. As a Fund Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the accounting operations and resolution of accounting issues for clients.

What you will do
  • As the main contact for clients, demonstrate expertise in offshore and domestic fund accounting and administration for alternative funds.
  • Manage delegation of funds to your team, coordinate/onboard new fund setups, serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, and work with all parties to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.
  • Act as record-keeper for funds; coordinate and support various year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform due diligence to ensure clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations.
  • Adhere to Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures when reviewing all fund transactions.
  • Ensure your team complies with department rules and regulations designed to prevent illegal income activities.
  • Generate and reconcile all accounting reporting, such as month-end valuation reports.
  • Review and approve month-end valuations prior to distribution to clients and authorize wire payments from fund escrow accounts.
  • Correspond with investment managers regarding day-to-day inquiries, including transactions, administration servicing planning and reporting of funds and financial statements. Maintain client engagement and a dedication to quality service.
  • Collaborate with investment managers, transfer agents, and sales/service teams to resolve open issues; involve internal technology and vendor support as needed to resolve production or system issues.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones with supervisors and analysts, and provide career pathing and training.
  • Assist with staffing requirements by assessing resource needs, interviewing candidates and hiring employees.
  • Provide and champion a team environment, including individual development, promotions and disciplinary action.
  • Support new business development and relationship teams for prospect calls, client visits and presentations.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new and converted clients by gathering requirements, submitting custom requests, and communicating key deliverables to team members.

What we need from you
  • BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the fund services industry; alternatives experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.

Compensation and location

The base salary range is $105,000 - $160,000 per year. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, subject to company approval.
