Enercon Engineering is hiring a hands-on Senior Field Service Engineer to support startup, troubleshooting, and testing of power generation and control systems. This is a full-time position with $36-$42/hr pay (DOE), 40% travel, and strong long-term stability with an established engineering firm.
What You`ll Do:
-Perform startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of generator control systems at customer sites.
-Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and project documentation.
-Test PLCs, synchronizers, governors, relays, and related control components.
-Communicate with customers by phone and on-site to identify and resolve technical issues.
-Prepare detailed service reports and coordinate findings with engineering teams.
-Support electrical testing when not traveling (in-house load bank testing and QA checks).
What We`re Looking For:
-2+ years of experience in electrical, power generation, or industrial controls environment.
-Strong understanding of PLC logic, generator paralleling, synchronizers, and relay protection.
-Ability to read schematics and perform field diagnostics.
-Self-motivated, detail-oriented problem solver with solid communication skills.
-Valid driver`s license and ability to travel (domestic & occasional international).
