The Project Engineering Manager will serve as the technical leader and manager responsible for developing the scope of work, planning schedules, and monitoring engineering activities for customer projects.
This role requires collaboration with proposal management, sourcing, partners, and customers to ensure project success and delivery excellence.
Responsibilities
Serve as the technical leader/manager to develop project scope, schedules, and oversee engineering activities.
Provide technical leadership and interface with proposal management, cost estimating, partners, customers, sourcing, and subcontractors.
Develop specialized knowledge in engineering discipline and serve as a best practice resource.
Stay informed about technical developments and contribute to strategy and policy formulation.
Use sound judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex engineering problems.
Lead small to medium projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
Explain complex or sensitive information and build consensus across teams.
Own the engineering execution of BOP?scoped projects from contract signing to completion.
Manage cross?functional engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks while leveraging opportunities.
Provide technical guidance and support to project management, sourcing, and installation teams.
Review customer specifications and communicate requirements to design teams.
Evaluate financial and schedule impacts of customer scope changes.
Enforce and improve quality procedures while ensuring lessons learned are documented.
Collaborate with multiple global engineering teams across locations such as Belfort, Baden, Noida, Queretaro, Schenectady, and Greenville.
Serve as Senior Project Engineering Manager when assigned, leading technical coordination across multiple product lines.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations while maintaining customer satisfaction and project profitability.
Requirement / Must Have
Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 6 years of related industry experience with increasing responsibilities.
Should Have
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Proven ability to lead programs or projects.
Ability to plan, document, and execute engineering programs effectively.
Creativity and problem?solving capability.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated customer interface experience.
Technical experience in energy, mechanical, electrical, or process engineering fields.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical codes and compliance.
Familiarity with turbo machinery, generators, electrical systems, controls, and power plant accessory systems.
Expertise in one or more engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, or Process).
