The Revenue Field Auditor I conducts independent examinations of taxpayer financial records with unique or special audit features, ensuring compliance with state tax laws and identifying additional revenue opportunities. The position involves maintaining an audit plan, selecting audit candidates, scheduling taxpayer interviews, reviewing records, and preparing audit reports. Regular travel to taxpayer locations within an assigned territory and limited overnight travel are required. A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are essential.
Salary Range: $62,130 $102,574 per year.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field with at least eighteen semester hours of accounting from an accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A transcript verifying completion of the required accounting hours is required.
