This Non-Exempt | Full-Time position aligns with the Project Manager Labor Category. Ideal candidates can visualize, analyze, and convert data and experiences to meet performance challenges, engage in productive dialogue targeting mission success, and support A-E and environmental projects nationwide, including Hazardous, Toxic, and Radiological (HTRW) sites in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
The role supports requirements for Enter GSA SIN and provides support for a variety of A-E services and environmental projects nationwide, including professional services to support military and civil environmental programs for federal agencies such as the Army, Army Reserves, National Guard, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Defense Logistics Agency, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Responsibilities
- Participate and support project requirements for Environmental Engineering and Architectural Engineering (A-E) Services, including performing environmental studies, designs, and general support of environmental issues under RCRA, CERCLA, SARA, TSCA, CWA and other federal programs; and under State and Local environmental laws and regulations.
- Conduct site investigations and assessments; remedial investigations/feasibility studies; remedial designs.
- Prepare feasibility studies and other engineering studies and reports; prepare Environmental Condition of Property reports.
- Perform NEPA analyses and documentation; conduct archaeological investigations and mitigation.
- Conduct biological evaluations and assessments; perform wetlands determinations and mitigation studies; groundwater modeling as needed.
- Conduct contaminant fate and transport analysis; surveying and mapping; coordinate with regulatory agencies; provide construction-phase services and prepare plans and specifications.
- Support value engineering and sustainability screenings; evaluate renewable energy sources; conduct risk assessments and hazard evaluations.
- Field inspections; develop Data Quality Objectives (DQOs); chemical QA/QC; sampling and testing of soil, sediment, and rock.
- Subsurface exploration; water sampling/testing; condition of laboratory analyses; provide cost estimating and engineering input.
- Work on hazardous waste and other environmental projects, including radioactive and mixed waste, energy conservation, sustainable remediation, and related initiatives; ensure compliance with OSHA and USACE health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- The candidate shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, and be able to communicate via email and use Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science; 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager or 5+ years with PMP certification.
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required; travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
- Location: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to CONUS IL, IN, KY, MI, OH, WV, PA, VA, NC, MN, NY, TN.
- U.S. Citizenship required. U.S. Government security clearances may be required for some engagements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe; ability to obtain Facility Access Authorization as required.
