Overview

Assistant Director of Institutional Engagement (Southeast Region) – Arcadia Abroad. The Arcadia Abroad Assistant Director of Institutional Engagement (Region 3) represents Arcadia Abroad in the Southeast United States region. The AD develops and cultivates collaborative relationships with higher education institutions, driving student applications to generate enrollment growth that meets and exceeds targets. The AD builds and maintains relationships with U.S. and international university partners, study abroad professionals, and faculty within the region while implementing a strategic plan for a designated portfolio. As part of the Enrollment Management Team, the AD enacts a strategic approach to achieve inquiry, application, and enrollment targets.

Location: Remote in the Southeast United States, with a strong preference for North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Development (25%): Establishes and strengthens professional relationships with decision makers and influencers at partner institutions to promote Arcadia Abroad programs and services; updates staff at assigned universities on programs, policies, and procedures; aligns College services and programs with partner goals; encourages schools to adopt additional programs; identifies opportunities to expand enrollments from assigned schools.
  • Strategic Partnership Recruitment (25%): Implements the strategic plan to increase and cultivate institutional partnerships; forecasts and ensures achievement of annual goals for institutions and student enrollments; researches and manages new business opportunities with the College-wide enrollment team; identifies and proposes new services or packaging to appeal to new customers; develops resources and messaging for recruitment (e.g., pull sheets, program flyers, campaigns, collateral, social media).
  • Student Recruitment and Outreach (25%): Interacts with students at assigned institutions to recruit for Arcadia Abroad programs through meetings, information tables, study abroad fairs, and events; follows up with inquiries to advise on study options and generate applications; collaborates with college staff to target campus visits and events; expands reach beyond education abroad offices to other offices and programs.
  • Market Research and Trending (5%): Uses institutional research and enrollment data to identify and sell to new institutions and monitors developments at assigned institutions.
  • College-wide Planning and Coordination (5%): Participates in activities to cultivate relationships at key colleges; collaborates on site visits and recruitment strategies; provides updated information to ensure efficiency in inquiries and enrollment processes; resolves billing and financial issues with Finance Team; coordinates partner events.
  • Administration (10%): Writes timely reports to inform staff of developments; uses CRM to produce reports and maintain institutional records; assists with agreements and partner events; submits expense reports and maintains records in compliance with policy.
  • Representation and Professional Development (5%): Travels as needed to Arcadia Centers and partner institutions; represents Arcadia at domestic and international education conferences; supports the College of Global Studies in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage project timelines; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills; ability to work with diverse constituents; strong judgment in handling issues; ability to learn and apply Arcadia policies.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of study abroad and international education.
  • 5+ years of experience in higher education.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently; valid driver's license.
