Summary

The Senior Network Engineering Lead provides engineering, deployment of engineering solutions, and support services for both cloud and on-premise network infrastructures. Responsibilities include technical expertise in network analysis, design, planning, assessment, development, and implementation. The role supports network architecture and operation of cloud platforms on Azure and AWS. Acts as a primary escalation support resource, providing recommendations and corrective actions to ensure optimal network performance. Supports projects, network device configurations, vendor management, and system issues related to IT Infrastructure environments.

Essential Functions

• Provide top-level support and ownership of the network infrastructure in a global environment, optimizing stability, availability, reliability, and performance. Manage network hardware and virtual appliances.
• Design network topologies, architectures, and services to solve complex business requirements. Communicate technology impacts on the business.
• Develop technical and business relationships, analyze business requirements, perform feasibility studies, and translate requirements into designs.
• Assist application and IT teams with new technologies, upgrades, and technical support to meet business needs. Manage project activities for network services.
• Provide third-level IT Network support for all locations, including escalations for issues with Network access, Wi-Fi, Internet, hardware, and devices.
• Create and maintain documentation of network components, diagrams, and data flow.

• Share responsibility with team members for timely IT service delivery.
• Maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues.
• Lead or support projects using project management techniques.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in configuration management, network security, architecture, and systems integration.
• Ability to conceptualize system configurations to solve business problems.
• Excellent relationship-building skills across organizational levels.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing technologies, meet deadlines, and lead projects.
• Highly organized with excellent time management and follow-up skills.
• Deep knowledge of systems design principles, IP communication, routing, network protocols, and security protocols.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN/Cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science or related field.
• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• 7+ years of experience with SD-WAN, network routing, WAN technologies, and network security.
• 7+ years managing monitoring and alerting systems, capacity planning.
• 7+ years designing and operating multi-site WAN infrastructures.
• Experience with Cloud Network Infrastructures on Azure and AWS.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, and cloud certifications preferred.

Additional Details

Travel: 1-10%

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 plus potential bonuses.
