They are currently looking to a add Operation Engineer to their team. This is a hybrid role with travel one week a month to other facilities and a few visits to the corporate office. Will work from home outside of that.
The Operations Engineer will provide technical support to companies manufacturing facilities in Missouri, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina and Colorado. This technical support will include project development and execution, operational troubleshooting, system evaluation and capital planning. This position will also provide technical support for new product initiatives including process design, process layout, capital and operational cost estimates.
This role is responsible for developing and executing capital projects from design and equipment selection through procurement, construction, start-up, and training-while ensuring projects meet budget, schedule, and safety standards. Key duties include evaluating new business and processing opportunities through testing and trials, supporting facilities in achieving yield and cost goals, and assessing plant infrastructure for future capital planning. The position also ensures compliance with OSHA and building codes, provides engineering expertise, and regularly updates senior management on project progress and initiatives. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Core competencies include knowledge of drying, liquid storage and transfer, conveying, and heat exchange systems, along with an understanding of automation and controls. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, a track record of process improvements, and effective leadership. Clear verbal and written communication, plus the ability to work well across teams, are also essential.
The current Director of Engineer is retiring and will be there for 6 months to a year to help mentor and train. Looking for folks with Engineering mindset to help improve plant efficiency.
