FACILITY SAFETY - This position is responsible for managing the Universitys fire and life safety program which includes conducting periodic fire and life safety inspections for all University facilities. The position will evaluate facilities for building code/life safety deficiencies and facilitate corrective measures with responsible departments through periodic follow-up to resolution. The position will complete inspections through coordination with building administrators and department safety representatives according to an established schedule and generate reports for each inspection that identifies deficiencies and recommended corrective actions with deadlines for departmental response. The position will manage the Safety Rep program including maintenance/update of the safety rep roster and safety rep training. The position will use EH&S management software to streamline the inspection, reporting, and response process.
