Jacko Law Group, P.C., a corporate, regulatory and securities law firm, is seeking a Senior Attorney to grow its practice. While a robust client base is in place, we are seeking an attorney who can build on our success and expand our mission with new clients. Summary

The ideal candidate will have a natural gift for developing client relationships and will be a key team player for servicing our clients, including investment advisers, broker-dealers, private fund advisers, investment companies, corporations and individuals. Strong knowledge of regulations governing the financial industry is required as is experience on corporate law matters and assisting with mergers and acquisitions, regulatory exams and corporate strategic advisement. Our practice areas also include real estate, intellectual property and employment labor law, so experience in these areas is an additional plus.

This individual will be instrumental in advising on business M&A transitions, contract negotiations, financial industry regulatory compliance, regulatory exams and providing general corporate strategic advisement. The Sr. Attorney should have at least six (6) to eight (8) years of experience and preferrable be admitted to either the CA, TX, AZ or NV bar. Experience in SEC and FINRA regulatory matters is preferred. Knowledge of corporate law matters is required.

JLG is headquartered in San Diego with offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Telecommuting / remote working opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-8 years of securities and corporate transactional law experience
• Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, FINRA Rules, and the Investment Company Act of 1940
• Passion for and proven results of business development and maintenance of client relations
• Growing book of business with ability to drive new business
• Strong collaboration and ability to manage practice area
• Must have strong contract law experience; succession planning and business transition experience a plus
• Hedge fund, real estate fund and private equity fund formation experience is highly desirable
• Corporate law, regulatory compliance experience and mergers and acquisition experience required
• Real estate, intellectual property and employment labor law experience a plus
• Strong writing, communications and negotiations skills are a must
