Now Hiring: Human Resources Manager | $85K–$102K Salary


Position Overview:

Hightower Communications is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resource Manager to lead our HR functions from our Kinston, NC office. This on-site role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, compliance with employment laws, employee relations, and fostering a positive, high-performance work culture. Reporting directly to the Vice President, the HR Manager will play a key role in aligning HR strategy with company goals while supporting approximately 150 employees across the southeastern U.S.

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried
  • Salary Range: $85,000 – $102,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Travel Required: Infrequent travel to regional offices may be required
  • Region: Southeastern US


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations issues, advising managers and employees on best practices
  • Develop and implement programs that promote employee engagement, retention, and performance
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs in partnership with finance and external providers
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR reporting and metrics
  • Support training and development initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead annual performance review and benefits enrollment processes
  • Manage third-party HR tools, platforms, and vendors as needed


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior-level HR role
  • In-depth knowledge of HR practices and employment law (federal and state)
  • Proven track record in recruitment, compliance, and employee relations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and coach
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Industry experience in telecommunications, construction, or related sectors
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
