Facilities Services Technician Painter IPart Time/ Non-ExemptAbout usPhysicians East, P.A.is a team of skilled healthcare professionals united to meet the challenge of delivering quality, cost-efficient, comprehensive healthcare to the people of Eastern North Carolina.About the roleWe arelooking for an employee that can be responsible for painting, removing wallpaper, prep and finishing walls and perform basic facilities services duties as required by management and work orders.Supervision Received: Reports to Facilities Services Manager.Supervision Exercised: None.Typical Physical Demands: Requires lifting and moving of heavy items, exposure to heights, crawl spaces, electrical wiring, and plumbing. Requires frequent bending, stooping, or stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a ladder, work on scaffolding, etc.Typical Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional work environment with some exposure to adverse weather conditions and work before or after normal operating hours. Travel between Physicians East facilities using a company or personal vehicle is required.ResponsibilitiesMust be able to work weekends and eveningsFill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler, using caulking gun and putty knifeRemoves fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch covers from walls prior to painting, using screwdriverSpreads drop clothes over floors and room furnishings, and covers surfaces, such as baseboards, doorframes ,and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during paintingPaints surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollersApplies paint with rollers, brush, etc.Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground levelMay wash surfaces prior to painting with mildew remover, using brushMay hang wallpaper and fabricsExamine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessaryTake and adhere to all health and safety precautionsExcellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix, and apply themSolid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniquesAptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)Experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while overserving all safety measuresConscientious with great attention to detailLocation & commitmentsPart-time role based at varying locations,Work to be completed primarily weekends, and evenings.Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner.Candidate requirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid NC Driver's license with a clean driving recordProven experience as a painterMust have reliable transportationMust be able to comprehend and comply with all HIPPA, OSHA, and other local, state, and federal guidelines pertaining to the operations of medical facilitiesAffirmative Action/EEO statementPhysicians East, P.A.is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any applicant or employee on the basis of age, race, color, ethnicity, religion, creed, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity, which includes status as a transgender individual), national origin or ancestry, citizenship, past, current, or prospective service in the uniformed services, genetic information (including family medical history), physical or mental disability, or other legally protected status.
