Description:

Project Manager - Telecommunications

Provide leadership, oversight management, delegation, and coordination to various internal and external organizations supporting the project or product development, engineering, project controls, estimating, construction management, supply chain, legal, EHS, QA/QC, operations, communications, regulatory, security, fuels, and transmission.

The PM manages all matrixed team members daily and interfaces with functional managers regarding placement, development, and conflict resolution.

Lead all project-related meetings and reports to ensure open communication among team members, stakeholders, and management, including monthly reviews, kickoff meetings, weekly and monthly reports. Ensure Project Plan and reports are developed and managed according to PMCoE Standards, and present reports effectively to management/governance teams.

Drive project planning processes, including scope definition, estimating, scheduling, cost control, procurement strategies, equipment and vendor selection, start-up, commissioning, and integration activities. This encompasses scope definition, design, construction, start-up, commissioning, turnover, and warranty management.

Develop objectives, stakeholder engagement, scope, roles, responsibilities, assumptions, constraints, deliverables, WBS, schedules, communication plans, regulatory and procurement strategies, resource plans, budgets, lessons learned, risk, quality, safety, environmental, security, data management, change management, and project close-out.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years of related work experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Additional degree(s) and 10 years telecommunications experience
  • Master's in Project Management or Business Administration
  • Expertise in project management, decision making, critical thinking, problem solving
  • Construction management knowledge
  • Proficiency in scheduling and cost controls
  • Knowledge of Agile, project leadership, collaboration
  • Utility experience, specifically in IT Telecommunications
  • Understanding of telecommunications technology, Cisco routing/switching, data centers, WANs
  • Experience tracking multiple teams and providing status updates

Preferred Skills: Communication, cross-team collaboration, leadership, telecommunications systems.
