It has achieved Magnet designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation, and outpatient health services to a 29-county region with over 1.4 million residents.Position Summary Responsible for implementing systems, programs, and strategic initiatives to enhance occupational health capabilities.Develops strategies, initiatives, infrastructure, and budgets aligned with quality goals to achieve operational excellence.Communicates objectives to staff, oversees department operations, manages staff, budget, and vendors.Measures effectiveness and promotes continuous improvement; facilitates change and resource utilization.Ensures policies and practices support safety, evidence-based care, high reliability, and transparency.Fosters a positive organizational culture, influences work attitudes, and enhances job satisfaction.Serves as a member of management teams and acts as a liaison among leadership, staff, and physicians.Responsibilities Provides leadership for ECU Health Occupational Health Services through strategic planning and program evaluation. Exhibits leadership in occupational health and the organization. Meets with external leaders quarterly to discuss clinic usage, ROI, and future opportunities. Encourages teamwork among regional nurses through regular meetings. Collaborates with departments like Safety, Quality, Risk Management, and Legal to develop and implement policies. Develops departmental policies, manages resources efficiently, and continuously improves service delivery based on data.Minimum Requirements Associate or undergraduate degree in a relevant field; graduate degree preferred.Management or leadership experience, including budget and personnel management, and planning.4-5 years in Employee or Occupational Health with at least 4 years in a leadership role in a healthcare setting.Administrative experience required.Previous experience in Occupational Health is mandatory. Additional experience may substitute for education, with a maximum substitution of 2 years.Additional Information ECU Health aims to employ the most qualified candidate.
